As of January 30, only one short month into the year, their has been a record of 102 cases of measles. Last year altogether, there were 644 cases of it. This year has already sky-rocketed to overly alarming numbers. with only one month down in 2015, we are already one-sixth of last year's total. The case is even worse if you take a closer look. the number of measles cases reported in 2014 was an all-time high since 2000. between 2001 and 2011, the average number of measles cases was 62. the highest number being 220 and the lowest being 37. so far, the majority of cases reported this year have been in relation and tracked back to Disneyland in California.

disease outbreaks have happened time and time again to the us. think of all the diseases that came from the times before the progressive era. people lived, and worked in terribly dirt conditions. citizens were constantly sick and the us government has made ways to fund and aid people who can help fight and clean up these diseases.
I wrote about this too and agree completely, but maybe add a little more about us history?
ReplyDeleteI thought measles were gone. I guess we just need more information on it.
