Measles in Georgia By: Zaria Chambers

The first case of measles since 2012 in Georgia has been confirmed. The infant was brought into the hospital and was reported to be from out of the country. Many health officials have been working with the Centers For Disease Control  and prevention to see if the infant had infected any other people. Recently there have been many reported cases of the measles especially in California. Health officials are trying their best to encourage parents to get the children vaccinated.

I think that is very important for people to get vaccinated so that it can help prevent the spread of measles. Hopefully this infant didn't infect anyone else with this disease. This can relate to history because there were many disease that affected people back then.

  1. Hopefully it didn't spread - however it still amazes me how some people refuse to vaccinate their children.

  2. I hope that these people will find some vaccination, measles are not something to be taken lightly.
