Bullying May Cause Permanent Blindness (Ashton Garcia, 2nd)

Recently, an elementary student was informed that she might become permanently blind due to bullying. She has been bullied for a while, even physically (which is more rare than verbal/emotional bulling). The last time she was physically bullied, an argument occurred and a football was thrown at her head. She then felt a bit of a flying experience, and was sent to the nurse. It turns our that a nerve was blocked which changed the way she could understand, or even see some things. She had trouble understanding her parents and had a problem tripping over things, though these would come and go. The parents aren't suing, but the surgery is very risky and doesn't have a great chance of working.

First of all I can't believe this is actually happening. However, it's been seen so muh throughout history. Slaves were beaten physically, emotionally, verbally, and other ways that are too hard to even think about. Many people have died or injured because of other people's believes or feeling of superiority. This is why wars and discrimination comes about. I honestly can't believe things like this and worse have and still do happen. It's even worse knowing that people were killed because of their race or something they believed in or because they felt they were better than another person or people.

  3. This is horrible. Bullying is such a problem in the US and despite all of the campaigns and celebrity endorsements. Thousands of kids are bullied each day, let this be a lesson to schools about how far bullying can go.
