Summary: For their senior class prank, students at Teaneck High School in Teaneck, NJ broke into their school at around 2 am on May 1, 2014. While there, they flipped desks over, broke chairs broken, sprayed graffiti on the walls and silly string on the floors and put balloons throughout the building.They also urinated in hallways, greased doorknobs with petroleum jelly and taped hot dogs to lockers. Officiers did a room-by-room round-up of the students, some of which were hiding. Of the 62 people arrested, 24 students of them wer 18 or older and were charged with burglary and criminal mischief. The other 38 are juveniles were released to their parents.
Analysis: As a upcoming senior, I think this was a applaud-worthy senior prank. As a civilian, I believe they may have taken the school tradition a bit too far. Burglary is illegal and worthy of criminal punishment. I wonder if they feel the prank was worth going to jail for. They probably didn't think of the proceeding repercussions that followed. At least, they'll have a memorable story for the ages of their senior prank.
This is terrible! Why would someone come up with this for their senior prank. They vandalized the school and I think it is appropriate that they were punished. I hope that other schools don't do this for their senior prank.
