Ellie Colwill - This mom wants you to know what measles did to her baby

Jilly Moss, a new mother to a baby just 11 months, has first hand experience to the returning measles case. Alba, Moss’ daughter woke up one day with a fever that surpassed 107 degrees and her eyes were swollen shut. When Moss and her husband went to see doctors, to get answers on what was happening to her baby, the doctors gave Alba Vitaman A to keep her from going blind, but they always denied the fact that she could have measles. As days passed on, the baby’s condition kept getting worse ending up with her whole body being swollen and not being responsive. After her baby’s measles case, one of the doctors told Moss to post this and make it public.

Even though this case is coming back, we have had a vaccine in the past for this kind of thing. In the 1960s the vaccine was introduced, and it reduced the amount of measles carriers. Then in 2000, Measles was declared eliminated.
