A commercial plane flying in Russia caught fire mid-flight and had to make an emergency landing in Moscow, were at least 13 people are dead an more injured. Among the dead 2 are children, and out of the 73 passengers many were alone. The airline hasn't yet commented on the casualties, only confirming that the fire did in fact happen. Many videos of the on fire airplane on the tarmac were posted to instagram by bystanders and witnesses. Victims haven't yet spoken out about the event or what happened in the air. It isn't confirmed yet if this fire was intentional or an accident, but an investigation is in the process of being conducted.
This relates to history because there have been many plane fires and crashes recently. This could be due to shoddy manufacturing of plane parts, or something deeper. The audience is anyone who might be taking a flight to Russia soon, or anyone who knew people on the flight. The purpose is to inform and the point of view is someone who wasn't on the flight, so they can't know what its like. The importance is immeasurable because peoples lives are at stake.
