Madilyn Weems - Dog Helps Change Lives

The article discusses how a dog named Telly helps the youths at a residential care home run by The Salvation Army, where Telly helps these children learn emotional, and social skills with him. The author explains how these children’s faces light up just by the mention of this adorable dog and how inspiring it is to see the dog and these children in action. This dog teaches them how to love and be loved, and to learn trust even in the most darkness of times. The author says, “I have seen how these youths, who are often labelled negatively by society, treat Telly with the utmost kindness, patience and love. It’s truly amazing! I often hear the phrase “Telly makes me feel happy.” It never fails to warm my heart, and it keeps us continually doing what we are doing.” Dogs are a great gift to all, no matter the age or where you’re from, comfort is always found within these creatures. Just like how dogs come in handy during wars, and for police men, some men do their best work by having a dog standing beside them.
