A new rule under the Trump administration allows health care workers to refuse care to patients based on their religious beliefs. This would include refusing to provide abortions, sterilizations, or assisted suicides. The rule doesn't only apply to doctors/surgeons, it includes anyone who could be involved in the process, from a nurse to a receptionist.
I think it's wrong to stop people from getting the care they want or need. Everyone has a right to their religious beliefs, but they shouldn't interfere with the health of others. In 1973, the Roe v. Wade decision stated that women have a legal right to an abortion, and no one should hinder that, or things similar to it.
It scares me for our legislation to not even put into account the possible worst case scenario, when every available doctor is denying service because of their religious beliefs.
