Emma Burkey: Harry and Meghan's royal baby boy: How his birth breaks with traditions, new and old

This morning at 5:26 AM, The Duchess of Sussex gave birth to her child with her husband by her side. The baby boy is healthy and the expected date of the public appearance, according to Harry, is Wednesday. The media was pleasantly surprised with Prince Harry's presence to discuss the birth, as the birth was originally going to be kept private.

I am a sucker for all things having to do with the Royal Family, but I will have to say I am very happy that Harry and Meghan are breaking some traditions. It is suspected that the baby was born at their home and not at St. Mary's, which is wear both Harry and his brother were born, as well as William's kids. The baby is also biracial and the first child to be acknowledged of African descent. This can be related to other royal births over the years that some Americans follow just as closely as those in Britain.
