Summary: Trump at an NRA convention said strict gun laws failed to prevent the 2015 Paris terrorist attacks. Trump pointed his hand as if it were a gun and described how each of the victims was fatally killed. "They took their time and gunned them down one by one -- boom, come over here, boom, come over here, boom," he said. Francois Hollande, who was the French President during the 2015 attacks, tweeted Saturday: "Donald Trump's shameful remarks and obscene histrionics say a lot about what he thinks of France and its values. The friendship between our two peoples will not be tainted by disrespect and excessiveness. All my thoughts go to the victims of November 13." Trump then described an increase in knife violence in London. He compared the hospital to a "war zone" as he detailed the blood on the floor due to the knife violence.
Analysis: I really do not agree with what he is saying. It seems like he doesn't show any respect for the people who lost their lives in France. Trump talks about knife violence in other countries being terrible, but knife violence doesn't kill nearly as many people as guns kill. I think we need stricter gun laws to prevent future mass shootings.

The silly behavior of our president shouldn’t cost us foreign relations. He should learn how to have some respect.
