Lauren Brady P4 March 6, 2017 North Korea Fires More Missiles

On Monday morning 3/6/17, North Korea fired four missiles 620 miles into the Sea of Japan. There was also a fifth missile, but it failed to launch. These missiles, three of which landed in Japan's exclusive economic zone, have sparked more concern from a series of launches North Korea has accomplished. This launch is said to be a North Korean retaliation to the joint military exercises between South Korea and the US. This missile launch is in violation with the UN Security Council's resolutions.

This is alarming. I cannot believe that North Korea is close to becomeing a nuclear power. We do not pay enough attention to the danger the pose. We should be eliminating the threat, starting with the implementation of THAAD, which detects missiles and destroys them. This connects to when America ignored the threat of Nazi Germany and Japan and did not take precautions, leading to an attack on Pearl Harbor.

  1. While we are worrying about many other things at the same time, I think this article highlights the importance of the threat that North Korea poses.
