Solomon islands disappearing //Kai jones 1st period

Five islands have disappeared into the pacific and now lay under the waves from rising sea levels. Six more have experienced a rapid reduction in shoreline. 10 houses have been taken by the sea from 2011 to 2014. This situation is believed to be a good example of what is to come in the following years as sea levels begin to rise. There are other studies that have been conducted that have produced the same results. More in this article.

The sea levels continue to rise as a result of a warming planet. Though the debate continues over whether or not this warming is caused by humans or is just a naturally occurring event continues, it is undeniable that the earth started to warm after the start of the industrial revolution. It has continued warming as a result of humans burning fossil fuels and also the general growth of the population. We continue to burn fossil fuels, the earth continues to warm, and the ocean continues to claim more land. If we don't find better energy sources soon then the earth will be forever damaged.

  1. I think Pitbull released an album titled Global Warming. I think we could use it to cool down the planet since it was absolute garbage.
