I think this is a very sensitive topic considering that there have been many school shootings in the past and that help was there immediately to prevent any more harm. The nearest help would be 30 minutes away and I think teachers who are prepared to take action in the event of a attack on campus is beneficial to this specific district or any others that, are in a rural areas.

Teachers with guns- Daniel Alcorta
David Theweatt- A superintendent in Harrold, Texas a town 30 minutes from the nearest law enforcement.hes taking action by implementing the "Gaurdian Plan" which would allow teachers to carry concealed weapons on campus. He not only sees himself as an educator but also a protector of 120 students in his district.

Ok this is a really hot button topic because guns are one of those things that can be good but are often bad when placed in the wrong hands. On that note i am not sure I agree with you 100% and while I think it COULD be beneficial the bad out weighs the good.
ReplyDeleteI feel if the district is need of more security there are alternatives maybe the district could have security guards at every school to ensure safety.
