President Obama, addressing the concerns about the use of military equipment, is asking aides to prepare an executive order in order to better track the flow of weapons from the federal government to the local police stations around the nation. The order would control federal agencies and what heavy equipment they sent to the police such as tanks and aircraft.
Analysis
During the times before the American Revolution, King George sent in British troops to control the colonists while they were boycotting the taxes from Parliament. This ties into the current event because too much military control can anger people and will cause protests and riots.
