In Mayville, North Dakoda, local police got a call from two surprisingly young boys searching for Santa Clause. The two sons of Jennifer Becker, one 3 years old and the other 6 years old, dialed 911 from their fathers cell phone in hopes to contact Santa and remind him of what they wanted for Christmas. Instead of an answer from Saint Nick, they were surprised by policemen showing up at their door. There were no repercussions for the deed and in fact, the cops found this event to be entertaining for them. The boys were given a tour of the police station and advice saying that "Santa is out of our jurisdiction."
As the holidays draw nearer by the day, children are anticipating the sight of gifts under the tree Christmas day. These two boys must have been extremely excited and found it hard to wait for their goodies. Children use the 911 line as a way to confirm or report childish wants. most people have dialed the number in search of something that emergency forces cannot assist with. Luckily this was a humorous call and not one because the two were in danger.

It is Mayville in Wisconsin not North Dakota
ReplyDeleteThat is really cute and I like it but I don't see how that effects the US on a large scale...
ReplyDeleteHaha this is actually funny, hope these kids get some presents on Christmas dont want any kids being sad.
ReplyDeleteThis is very cute. And thankfully not a prank or a threat. This shows that calls to the police (in cases that the police cannot assist with) can be positive.
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable. Its great to see that some interactions with the police can be positive during the tense times we are currently in.
