Last Friday, a man stabbed four people on an Amtrak train. The train was from Chicago and was headed to Port Huron, Michigan. All four people were hospitalized; the conductor of the train was one of these people. Amtrak had called 911 to report that there was a passenger who appeared to be "agitated". The man's motive is still unclear, but police are looking into it. He's a 44-year-old man from Saginaw, Michigan.
Faith Karimi wrote this article on December 6th for CNN. Before reading this article, I had heard of similar events occurring, but that doesn't change how horrible it is to hear of stories like these. This article was written to inform people of the events that transpired on the Amtrak train. I hope that the police identify the man's motive and that he receives the appropriate punishment. I also hope that the four people he stabbed make full recoveries.

I wonder what could bring someone to do this, hopefully this incident can be used to ensure have more security on trains.
ReplyDeleteI did my current event on this article as well. No where is safe nowadays, you always have to be on the lookout; it's sad that our society has come to this.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Addie. Hopefully they learn from this incident and more safety rules are made.
