North Carolina-Sebastian Niño 5th
The issue with North Carolina's bathroom law still stands. For those that don't know, there was a law recently passed in North Carolina that states you must go to the restroom that corresponds with your birth certificate, meaning if you were born a male but are now a female, you must still use the male bathroom regardless if you identify as a female. The biggest issue with this is that if you're identifying as a gender other than the one you were born with you're automatically stripped of your right to do one of the most private human bodily functions. Others argument and stance is that the law is meant to protect against sexual assault, but the fact of the matter is that if someone is going to sexually assault someone else in the bathroom they couldn't care less about the sign on the outside of the bathroom. The law is oppressing those who are against it for all of the wrong reasons. But that's just my thoughts on the issue. This could be synthesized with the current battle over fun control rights and how some argue they are to make america safer and others argue that it'll only make it harder for those who are law abiding citizens to get guns.

This law is awful. I can't believe that it is so easy for a law to violate the fourth amendment indicated freedom of privacy.
