ISIS Attack Kills 148 - Carlos Joglar

On Monday, a blast in Syria, caused by ISIS terrorists, killed over 148 civilians. To date, this is the largest amount of casualties caused by an ISIS attack within it's heartland. In Jableh and Tartus, two coastal cities in northwestern Syria, seven bobs simultaneously exploded, targeting hospitals, bus stops, and other sites hosting civilians. The regime mentioned that the motives for these attacks were in response to Russian airstrikes against jihadists and in retaliation against the Syrian regime. This attack is significant because, until then, coastal Syria had largely been untouched by the terrorist regime. Now, it seems ISIS is breaking down it's barriers and no territory is completely safe.

These attacks, while always frightening to hear about, are even more frightening because it is evident that ISIS is reaching more territories. It is especially frightening because of how it has been the largest amount of civilian attacks withing ISIS's heartland. This is, quite obviously, reminiscent of the 9/11 attacks. Not only because both are terrorist attacks, but also because the 9/11 attacks have been the single largest mass killing of American people. As frightening as this news is, it is mostly important to remember that the groups responsible for these attacks are radical groups that do not represent the people they claim to represent. This Muslim group must be suppressed, not all Muslims.
