Delta engine cover flies off. By: Emma Wall

The article above discusses delta's tragic event that occurred on Sunday afternoon.  Delta flight 762 lost the cover of an engine due to turbulence.  They had to land early and let all of their passengers off.  Delta is checking this hazard and trying to figure out what went wrong.

Honestly, I can't even imagine what the passengers were thinking.  During turbulence most passengers are just holding on tight, but if one sees a cover of an engine fly off it is probably concerning!  This is really weird, I have never heard of anything like this.  However, I don't really keep up on airplanes so I am obviously not an expert.  I think this is really odd, though.  I know that turbulence can cause damage to planes, but I have never heard of a whole engine cover flying off.

  1. I completely agree with your synthesis! Crazy though that the turbulence caused the cover to fall off!
