     Obama admin.  sues North Carolina over anti LGBT law

A state has failed to progress as the Nation has. North Carolina, a state located in the South East of the United States, has created a law that requires humans to use the restroom based off of the gender that was listed on their birth certificate. In other measures it blocked several local anti- discrimination  measures that protected gay and transgender people. The Justice Department has ruled this injustice and threatens to sue the state if they don't nullify the law.

In response North Carolina announced on Monday it would sue the Justice Department over its attempt to nullify the law.

 There are many groups that have boycotted this law and have taken certain measures. Major businesses such as Bank of America, Pay, Pal, and Apple have expressed their disagreement with the law. Artists such as Demi Lovato, Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, and Cirque de Soleil have all cancelled shows in the state. Along with Beyonce who at a concert made statements calling for equality.
