America's Resistance Against the Death Penalty - Olivia Browne Period 6
Supplies of lethal injection drugs are running low and new sources are becoming increasingly difficult for states to come by. Pfizer, the second-largest pharmaceutical company in the world, just made the job even more challenging by blocking its drugs from being used in executions. This shows America's resistance to the death penalty and all it entails.

It's interesting how even pharmaceutical companies are rebelling against death penalty for inappropriate actions.
ReplyDeleteI was just listening about this on npr! I was scared because since there is a shortage in lethal injection drugs, they said they will think about bringing back the fire squad, or maybe even the electric chair!
ReplyDeleteI hope that they listen to the resistance to the death penalty and don't feel the need to replace the drugs with other killing devices.
ReplyDeleteInteresting thing to bring up. To be a part of the european union death penalties have to be banned outright. There's also research to back that harder punishment doesn't actually deter crime
