Sony Hackers -Kennedi Mayes

A group known as the Guardians of Peace(G.O.P.) hacked Sony Pictures about two weeks ago. They left a message telling the company to censor itself or it will suffer the consequences. The consequences are unknown, but support their cause of peace. They are referring to a movie Sony is about to put out called "The Interview." The movie is supposed to be a comedy about trying to kill the leader of North Korea. It is believed that the hack might be a hoax by North Korea.

This is an interesting way of going about things. It's funny because the U.S. never has groups to hack other countries' media centers because we get offended. I'm kind of curious of the lengths they will go to get their point across.

  1. North Korea is crazy about this kind of stuff. This isn't the first time they have done this over a movie that would portray them in a bad light.

  2. The movie was over a controversial topic, especially since it's about assassinating their leader.
