Yesenia Ramirez-Dallas County jury deliberating in murder trial for ex-cop who killed 15-year-old Jordan Edwards
Tasha Tsiaperas, is a staff Writer who writes about criminal justice and in her article she shows how people who were in the court were saying that Jordan Edwards death was an accident.This article was recently posted the 8/27/18 around noon.The author also shows both positive and negative side of the story because even though justice was made people were still more concerned about his partner. The reason they said that was because Oliver thought his partner was in danger so that is why he fired his gun.But the judges were still confused on why he kept shooting at the vehicle were the group of teens were in when he realized his partner was no longer in danger.What i think the article is trying to show is how some people still don't accept other people just because of their color or ethnicity because he had no reason to shoot at them and that kind of shows how he could of been racist and how racism still exist in society .This also can relate to our history on when the English and other people were colonizing america and killed African but mostly Natives Americans.

It's sad that in 2018 we recount stories of another innocent life being taken away by someone who isn't doing their job. It's even more sad that fatal incident took place over a year ago and Jordan is just now getting justice. Hopefully we do better and once and for all learn from the tragedies that continue to take place.
