Texas Pastor compares New transgender bathroom law to ISIS: Samantha Arthur--1st period

A pastor from our own great state of Texas tells Newsmax that transgender people using the bathroom they prefer is comparable to ISIS, if not worse. He does so on a conservative radio talk show.

"It's the businesses that say to our representatives, 'Oh, don't pass laws like that, don't pass these religious freedom laws because people will interpret that as anti-gay and we'll lose business …

"The greatest threat to freedom of religion in America is not ISIS, it's the Chamber of Commerce."

"What we've got to understand is, gender identity confusion is an emotional disorder that should be treated professionally and compassionately, but it should not be exploited by social activists like those in the Obama Administration… " Jeffress said.

I think it's evident that comparing transgender people using the bathroom of their choice to ISIS is a little excessive. Even if one were to disagree with the recent proclamation, comparing to an international terrorists group is a little much. Change is weird and it'll take a while for everyone to get used to it and over time, if it was a bad idea, it'll go back to the way it was. As far as I know, transgender people were already using the bathroom of their choice. This situation as a whole is comparable to hen the Supreme Court decided to make gay marriage legal. At first there were lots of controversy, but it settled down. This will also settle down eventually, no matter the ending outcome.
