Summary: Governor Chris Christie is now said to be the head of the transition team for presidential candidate Donald Trump. Before this, it is believed that Donald Trump was considering his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, for this role, but he has now announced that he has chosen Chris Christie. Christie was the first governor that was currently serving to endorse Trump. Christie has recently been seen at a lot of Trump's meetings, such as standing awkwardly behind Trump in his supposed nominee speech, as well as at political meetings such as Trump's meeting with the Governor of Illinois.
Analysis: I find politics soooooooooo confusing and corrupt. When Christie was still in the race for president, Trump was absolutely tearing Christie into pieces, but now that Christie isn't his opponent anymore, Trump now is saying that he is smart enough and trustworthy to run his transition team if he was to become president and even said that there is a chance that he could make Christie his vice president. This reminds me of the corrupt bargain in which John Quincy Adams turned Henry Clay from enemy to ally when he promised him that he could be his secretary of state if he went to congress and advocated for him.
