The Zika virus is rapidly spreading through the bite of mosquitoes from the southern part to across America. The big debate is how much congress is not providing for the disease and health control agencies to help prevent the spread of this so it won't turn into an epidemic like the ebola crisis. Since Europeans first started settling in the new world they brought diseases with them. Many like scarlet fever, measles, whooping cough, and chicken pox spread quickly through native American territories and killed off many people and livestock. This reminds us that no matter how much we advance our nations medicines, small viruses can become large viruses if we don't take the needed steps to prevent them.
