Summary: With college decision day being Sunday, it seems Malia Obama has selected Harvard, following in the footsteps of her parents. She will also be taking a gap year. She does not know what she plans to study, but her dad has encouraged her to push her boundaries, and meet new people. Malia has expressed an interest in film, and has interned for shows like girls and the extant.

Analysis: This may seem like it doesn't really relate to anything, but it definitely does. This relates back to the creation of higher education, with some of the earliest colleges being Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, and Yale. These colleges were founded during colonial timescale and have since made a large name for themselves as some of the most prestigious and exclusive schools in the country.

  3. I think it's good that she is taking a gap year. It really gives a person time to think about what they want to do with their lives. Although it could be argued differently. -Mattie Whisler 9th period Flex

  6. Besides the fact that she is amazing and got into Harvard, I think her not knowing what she wants to study makes her extremely relatable for all of the teens out there try got figure out what they want to do with their lives. Just one more reason I love Malia Obama.
