Texas' Schools Finance System

http://www.fox4news.com/politics/140672060-story

The state Supreme Court unanimously ruled on Friday that Texas' schools finance system is flawed but still constitutional.  600-plus districts sued the state for not providing equal funds to all districts.  The all-Republican court states that the government is distributing the funds throughout the districts equally.  While the Democrats believe that the majority of the funds are being given to the more wealthier schools.  This case has been brought to the Supreme Court to determine whether this distribution of the funds is constitutional.
This debate reminds me of the Supreme Court case in 1993.  The Edgewood ISD v Kirby was a case concerning public school financing.  Also this case was concerning the discrimination against students in poor districts.  The Supreme Court ruled that property taxes from wealthy school districts should be redistributed to the poorer ones.
