Hamilton recently got nominated for a record 16 tony awards. That's more than any musical in Broadway history. With nominations like best musical and best actor in a musical. And while we won't know till june Hamilton could also set the record for most wins at the tony's. With 16 nominations Lin-Manuel Miranda beat his own personal record from his 2008 musical in the Height's which received 13 nominations and won 4. Hamilton has quite a connection to APUSH as it is the story of Alexander Hamilton one of our most important founding fathers and the creator of our national banking system.

I believe this is extremely well deserved. I haven't had the opportunity to see Hamilton, however I have heard the music for it and it was definitely worth the listen.
