Adriana Hinojosa, 8th, Ignorance

There is no doubt that racism is still super prevalent. Upon reading this story that was almost laughable, that thought was reinforced. A woman on a plane reported a foreign looking man simply for that and because he was focused writing something that she could not make out. Regardless of the language that was being written, she had no right to report a man for writing in what she thought was his native language. It was later found out that this man was simply writing a complex math equation and was of Italian descent. They did have to escort the man of the plane though in order to investigate. I think it is very important to take precaution and i suppose that if the woman really felt that nervous, the right thing for her to do was to report the man. But it is also important to not see things that are not there.
