Starbucks to Dumb Starbucks: Don't use our trademark- Jessica Dicker

The "Dumb Starbucks" parody coffee shop had created quite a buzz this past weekend in Los Angeles, however, the original Starbucks is not pleased with this. The parody is using the same name a logo, as well as the same menu. "We appreciate the humor but they can't use our name," Starbucks spokesman Jim Olson told CNN Money. "It's a protected trademark. It's our trademark." It's all pretty funny to me, sometimes we need a good joke but Starbucks' is trademarked and this other shop needs to respect that. Starbucks can sometimes be overrated, but they are a thriving company and should have the right ask to change the parody's logo and menu. http://money.cnn.com/2014/02/10/news/companies/dumb-starbucks/index.html?hpt=hp_t2

  1. I agree, they have a reputation to maintain and they have the right to tell them to change it!

  2. Whoever decided to make the parody knew that they weren't to have the same logo and name. But it is kinda funny how they just put dumb in front of everything.
