Body parts found in garbage bags along snowy Michigan roads - Alix Kast

Human body parts were found on snowy roads in a rural part of Michigan. The parts are believed to belong to one person- a white male. A woman called the police to report that she had seen "something suspicious" and this led police to investigate in the area. Another woman actually saw the person who was dumping the bags, which she had first thought were just filled with garbage. She said it was a middle aged woman who had been driving an SUV. Police are treating it like a homicide until an autopsy can prove otherwise. Some of the body parts found include a torso and a head.

This is the sort of thing you hear about in horror stories, not in real life. But it's something that really happened, as unbelievable as it might seem. Hopefully they will find out the identity of the person whom the body parts belonged to, so that they can get closer to solving the case. Whoever did this is pretty sick. The body parts could have been stolen from a grave, but it is more likely that the person was murdered. At least the second woman will be able to provide the police with a description of the person who dumped the parts, and that will provide them with a suspect. However, it's also possible that this person did not realize the bags were filled with body parts, but this is extremely unlikely, because it seems like she is trying to dispose of evidence.
