Mexico confirms death of feared Zetas cartel leader

Today, Mexico has confirmed that its forces have killed Heriberto Lacanzo a reputed leader of the ruthless Zetas cartel. Heriberto's death was arguably the Mexican Government's hugest takedown  since President Felipe Calderon. Mexican marines killed Lacanzo on Sunday in a shootout in a small northern Mexican town 130 miles from the Texas border. The United States and Mexico combined and offered rewards over $7 million a twist, for his capture. After his death, a group of armed men stole his body from a funeral home even though authorities have already taken fingerprints and photographs to confirm his identity. The Zetas were responsible for for smuggling tons of cocaine and other drugs that help made millions of dollars.
