An elephant of about 2 years of age with 225 pounds pins down a 40 year old zookeeper and leaves her in stable condition. The zookeeper, lucy melo, is now in Royal North shore Hospital recovering from the injury that was caused. The attack started at around 11:30am, when the elephant, pathi harn, attacked Lucy, but luckily two other zookeepers heard and came to help by also calling the ambulance. Now Lucy's companions are trying to figure out pathis cause of attack since it's a calm elephant.
I'm glad Lucy is recovering and that she is Still alive. Pathi is a calm elephant as I read the whole article so that's strange.

How weird. Well animals can be unpredictable, whether or not they're domestic.
ReplyDeleteAccidents happen and it is not the elephant's fault. My friend was recently kicked by a horse and it was a big lesson for many to learnt that it is an animals instinct to protect itself, therefor we must be careful not to spook them or do anything strange.
ReplyDeleteThat's super scary and very peculiar. I love elephants and they're usually known for being big friendly creatures. I think this is what hhappens when we take animals out of their natural habitats and put them in these cooped up cages. It's pretty sad when you think about it.
