Nanny charged with murder by Carter Brown
This is a major news article that I heard about yesterday. Apparently, a nanny in New York has been charged with murdering two of the kids she nannies. "Yoselyn Ortega, 50, was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree murder in each of the October 25 stabbing deaths, New York police spokesman Paul Browne said." According to CNN, the mother of the two children had left to take one of her other kids to a swimming lesson and left the two with the nanny. When the nanny was expected to meet the mother at a dance class and didn't, the mother raced home to find her children dead. I find this really unfortunate and sad, not only because it's a horrible incident, but also because it makes my mother's profession look bad, being that she is a nanny.
