Defense Cuts by Clara McLain
The United States has one of the largest militaries in the world, but possible defense cuts could be in the future as near as January. "part of an agreement to slash more than $1 trillion from the federal budget to reduce the deficit." Another solution is prevent tax paying loopholes for high-earning families, but Nancy Pelosi does not see that to be enough from the families. The republicans are suggesting cuts to entitlement programs such as Medicare, Social Security and the *Advancement of the Arts* (not in the article).
