NASA reported Monday that the Mars Rover has not yet found any sign of life in the dirt. The mineralogical composition that had NASA curious and hopeful turned out to be similar to previously found composition foud by the former Spirit and Opportunity Rovers on Mars. Gases found coming up from the ground were water vapor and carbon dioxide, which is exciting and it's what originally caused the question of sign of life. Scientist are still working to find out why these gases were found on Mars, as they are not native to the large planet.
I think it's really great and exciting to hear about outer space studies. It's a very foreign concept to many of us. Although this particular instance, nothing positive was found, I feel like with each find we get closer and closer to finding another planet with a possibility life. It's very interesting and it cuold be very useful to not only the United States but to the whole world! I'm glad the United States is the main country involved though! Makes me proud to be an Amrican... :)
