As we all know Hurricane Harvey divided and destroyed many homes and lives of people in the United States recently. Hard working first responders , military men and women , and volunteers have been working non stop to help , save and rescue many of the people affected by the storm. Many of these people just like reporter , Naomi Martin had worked for days on end in Lumberton helping to mend the damage. With people like this spending their time working to help others many lose hope in themselves and in their objective. This was the problem for Naomi and her rescue team , but that all changed when they were brought face to face with puppies. Now many people may think what can puppies do to rebuild homes or save lives and though they can not physically do anything what they do to the people who hold and love them makes all the difference. When Naomi and her team held and played with the puppies they were all restored with happiness and hope in overcoming the path of destruction the storm had left for them to handle. After they held the puppies they felt relaxed and determined to go and save more people’s life so they could feel the same as they did when they held the puppies.That’s why I believe that in times of need and division we should always look for the things that can pull us together and make us one instead of divided ourselves and hating each other.  I’m sure when Naomi wrote this article she was intending for America to see that although her and her team were going through a hard patch they found something that pushed them through instead of bringing them all down. In America this is a problem we face a lot , we always see the differences and mistakes of others when something goes wrong. We always need someone to blame , but in reality we all just want reassurance that everything will be ok, just like Naomi got with her puppies.
