The recent California wild fires have growing quite large and dangerous, they have destroyed over 1,000 structures and counting in the past week. According to the California Fire Department the Thomas Fire has grown to a size larger than New York City in the past week since it started as just a brush fire. Almost 100,000 people are under mandatory evacuation until the fire is contained, and according to the California Fire Department the fire is only about 20% contained.

I think this would be an awe filled thing to go through, being evacuated from your home and being in danger over losing your home. I hope the fire subsides soon and the people are able to return to their homes soon
