After all the devastation from Hurricane Harvey, there are many residents who are being demanded to pay rents on homes that they can't even live in or are unable to get to, and people have been calling the disaster hotline for the Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid organization to complain. There has also been 23 complaints towards the Texas Attorney General's office as well about the unfair demands. It's terrible that people already lost so much due to the storm, but it's even worse that landlords and tenants have the audacity to ask for rent when there's so many people in tough situations who aren't able to get the money or can't even make it back to their homes.
