Sidewalk glued down in Hong Kong Mariela Lomeli

Image result for brick used in protest in hong kongsummary          Hong Kong authorities have been gluing down paving blocks to sidewalks, as police roll out heavy security measures ahead of a visit by a senior Chinese official. To prevent them being thrown as projectiles, lawmakers said the bricks were being stuck down as protests were expected during this week's visit by Zhang Dejiang. "I think this is a normal act to do. With the recent bricks throwing incident, there is a need to protect public safety and social order," said Regina Yip, a pro-Beijing lawmaker.
Opinion             I mean if people are going to use these bricks as weapons, these officials have a reason to glue them down, but on the downside the protesters won't have bricks to throw.
analysis            In 2014, tens of thousands of protesters, many students, took to Hong Kong streets, occupying major roads for 11 weeks in what became known as the "Umbrella Movement." Let us connect. The ‘60s were different from the ‘50s in many important ways. The worsening conditions in the cities, feminism, and the Vietnam War caused the social and political atmosphere to become turbulent and violent. Protests and war riots become commonplace.
