This article talks about Russian response to a new US missile defence station in Romania. Vladimir Putin (president of Russia) has publicized complaints about the station, saying that it was built to weaken Russia's nuclear power. Putin also responded by saying he was going to increase Russia's defense spending to neutralize the threat. Due to these statements, Obama voiced his concerns about Russia's growing military presence. NATO has said that the base is aimed at potential threats from the Middle East.
